You exist because He created you

The Bible tells us that God is the sole source of creation—absolutely nothing exists without his having created it. No other gods compete with him; nothing exists on its own.

Creation did not just “happen.”

So what do we learn about God by looking around at what he has created? We conclude that he is a God of beauty, of order, of creativity—and we might even conclude that he has a sense of humor as well.

You, as a part of creation, find your source in God as well. You exist because he created you. That longing in your heart, that desire for love and relationship, that search for meaning in your life—all can be found when you go to your Source. Look no further than God.

As your Creator, he knows the plan for you. All you need to do is ask.

Father, thank you for your magnificent creation. Thank you for creating me.  

Scripture for Meditation – Psalm 19-1-6

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

The skies display his craftsmanship.

Day after day they continue to speak;

Night after night they make him known.

They speak without a sound or word.

Their voice is never heard

Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

And their words to all the world.

God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.

It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.

It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.

The sun rises at one end of the heavens

And follows its course to the other end.

Nothing can hide from its heat.
