Faith gives meaning to our lives

Faith is for that which lies on the other side of reason. Faith is what makes life bearable, with all its tragedies and ambiguities and sudden, startling joys.

~~Madeline L’Engle

This morning’s prayer and meditation for Sally’s healing comes from Take Heart, Oh God: Riches from the Greatest Christian Women Writers of All Time.
Everything you do in this life requires a measure of faith. When you turn the key in your car’s ignition, you have faith it will start. When you step onto an elevator, you have faith it will take you to the next floor.
Sadly, there are many things and people in which we place our faith, only to be let down, But there is one Person in whom we can place our faith and know with certainty that he will never let us down. When life seems out of control, he is in control. When tragedies come, he is there not only to comfort, but to bring good out of the ashes. When friends betray us, he will never leave us nor forsake us. And when we achieve moments of pure joy; we know that he is celebrating right along with us.
Faith gives meaning to our lives.
Prayer for Meditation
My faith is in you, Jesus. For you alone give my life meaning.
Scripture for Meditation
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of underserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. Romans 5:1-2
