Lord, I do believe. Help me overcome my unbelief.

Oh! For the mighty, convicting, convincing power of the Holy Ghost! Oh! For faith to remove mountains, to expect them to be removed! Pray for us, for the mountains are very tangible, and our faith is very weak.
~~Amy Carmichael

This morning’s prayer and meditation for Sally’s healing comes from Take Heart, Oh God: Riches from the Greatest Christian Women Writers of All Time.
As Amy Carmichael penned these words, she was on her way to Japan to serve as a missionary. Even she, now looked upon as a model for world missions, admitted that she struggled with trusting God. The mountains that stood in the way of sharing Christ were tangible and seemingly impassable. Her faith seemed too weak to move them. So she prayed for the Holy Spirit to fill her with the faith she needed.
Take comfort in that, dear sister. You don’t need to have “perfect faith” in order for God to use you. You only need to be willing. When you go to the Source who promises to give you the faith you need.
What mountains are on your horizon, threatening to block God’s work? What challenge seems more than you can handle? Cry out to God. He will give you faith to move mountains.

Scripture for Meditation
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”  Matthew 21:21-22
