He hears you. And he smiles.

All prayers are not answered immediately.
Otherwise there would be no need to pray without ceasing, As Scripture said to do.

~~Karen Kingsbury

This morning’s prayer and meditation for Sally’s healing comes from Take Heart, Oh God: Riches from the Greatest Christian Women Writers of All Time.
Pray without ceasing. It seems like an almost impossible task. Even when you need an answer soon, how do you pray in the midst of working, playing, concentrating on business, and interacting with others? Talk about multitasking! But Jesus knows your thoughts and hears them regardless of what you’re doing, who you’re with, or where you are. Speaking your prayers silently as you go about your day opens the door to continual prayer.
Think about it. Constant fellowship with the Lord! Yes, you’re engaged at your job, concentrating on balancing the checkbook, or disciplining your child, but if somewhere in the background of your mind you’re aware of his presence and inviting him in, that’s prayer.
He may not always answer quickly. He wants the joy of your constant communication. When you pray without ceasing, your words strengthen the bond you have with your first love.
He hears you. And he smiles.
