You are part of the greatest story ever told

People don’t want to merely read stories or watch stories or even tell stories.
They want to live stories. There is in each of us an innate desire
to have a role to play—a major part in the saga that is life.

~~Lucinda Secrest McDowell

This morning’s prayer and meditation for Sally’s healing comes from Take Heart, Oh God: Riches from the Greatest Christian Women Writers of All Time
Meaning. Purpose. This is the heart cry of many who long for their lives to count for something. On the days when life seems at its most mundane, we desperately long for more—more excitement, more meaning. We wish we could live those stories we’ve only read about—stories of useful lives well spent and victories won. This longing reminds us that w were created with a purpose— "a role to play," as Lucinda states.
You are part of the greatest story ever told. It began at creation, when God first expressed his love by creating a world. It reached its culmination when God offered his Son to die for our sins. His life imbues ours with a vein of purpose only dreamed of before. Through faith and the power of the Holy Spirit, we live out that purpose.
If you trust Jesus, your life is the greatest story you’ll ever live.
Prayer for Meditation
God I want to live your story, the greatest story ever.
Scripture for Meditation
People who do this rarely look with sorrow on the past, for God has given them reasons for joy. Ecclesiastes 5:20
Music for Meditation

Here I Am Lord

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard My people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin,
My hand will save.
I who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear My light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have born my peoples pain.
I have wept for love of them, They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak My word to them,
Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them,
My hand will save
Finest bread I will provide,
Till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give My life to them,
Whom shall I send?

Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord?
I have heard You calling in the night.
I will go Lord, if You lead me.
I will hold Your people in my heart.
