God is waiting for you to get quiet before him—to cast aside your worries and truly seek the tranquility of his presence. He is God the almighty and wonderful, your powerful defender and loving friend. He is the Lord who makes you whole and gives you the desires of your heart.
He is waiting for your heart to be calm—for you to realize that nothing in heaven or on earth can stop him from doing good things on your behalf. He is waiting for you—by your silence and quiet trust—to express your confidence that he will do as he promised.
Today, be still before him. And know him.
Prayer for Meditation
Dear God, silence is a challenge. Help my spirit to be calm and quiet before you so that I may know you and trust you more. Amen
