I have always, essentially, been waiting. Waiting to become . .
. something else, waiting to be that person I always thought I was on the verge
of becoming, waiting for that life I thought I would have.

It
is hard to just be happy in the now, especially if now doesn’t look like you
had hoped or planned. When planted, the seeds of discontent will grow into
full-fledged bitterness and despair. How much better to look around at the now,
be content with all that God has given, and thank him for the blessings he has
provided.
Let
God take what you thought life would be and give you a new focus. Contentment
will get you there.
Prayer
for Meditation
Father, I want to be content with all
that you have given. Thank you.
Scripture
for Meditation
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 1Timothy
