He's been waiting for you.

The Lord doesn’t disappear when you turn away from Him, He remains.

~~Anne Rice

This morning’s prayer and meditation for Sally’s healing comes from Take Heart, Oh God: Riches from the Greatest Christian Women Writers of All Time.
What would cause us to turn away from God? Perhaps a deep, heartfelt plea we brought to him was refused. Or maybe we have talked to God about a request for so long that we tire of bringing it anymore. We shake our fists at heaven. We stand dazed and confused, crying out, “Why, God?” We feel angry and disappointed. And, finally, we decide it’s easier just to turn away than to face the constant silence from heaven.
You may turn away, but God stays by your side, seeing your pain and knowing your hurt. He never leaves, never turns his back. He constantly walks beside you whether you sense his presence or not.
A day will come when the light will break through. You’ll look back and see God’s fingerprints everywhere. You’ll look around and there he is.
He’s been waiting for you.
Prayer for Meditation
Father, I lay down what I don’t understand. I choose to trust in you.
Scripture for Meditation
So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him. Luke 15:20
