  1. God "is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20). He has more for you than you can imagine. May "the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Romans 15:13). Stay focused on God, and He will keep you in perfect peace as He moves you into the future He has for you.

  2. Sally, you are so much in my thoughts and prayers.
Here is a Celtic prayer I like:

    In the beginning O God
You shaped my soul and set its weave.
You formed my body and gave it breath.
Renew me this day in the image of your love.
O great God, grant me your light
O great God, grant me your grace
O great God, grant me your joy this day
And let me be made pure in the well of your health.

  3. Sally,
You remain in my thoughts and prayers. You are a wonderful role model. Your inward beauty is as amazing as your outward beauty. I pray you are blessed by the devotional below written by Ed Young.

    Go On in God’s Strength

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13

People in covenant with Jesus Christ lose the word “can’t”—in its ultimate sense—from their vocabulary. Paul said, “I can do all things” through Christ’s strength. What do “all things” include? Beatings, stonings, shipwreck, tough journeys, raging rivers, vicious thieves, betrayal by one’s own, threats from opponents, urban violence, scary jungles, roaring oceans, scammers, sleepless nights, hunger, thirst, bitter weather. If “all things” referred to boggling miracles or leaping tall buildings, I would have a hard time relating. The promises of Christ’s strength have to do with the everyday stuff. That’s where we need His strength the most.

  5. This morning in our Sunday School class we discussed 2 Corinthians 1 - This specific verse directed us to our God of All Comfort - and has had you, Ms Sally on our minds all day. We love you so much and continue to pray for you and your comfort.

    2 Corinthians 1:
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia: 2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    The God of All Comfort

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

    Good Morning My sweet Sally,

This is a wonderful thing!!! I so hope you are doing well. I miss talking to you and I don't want to bother you but know that I am here anytime that you want to talk, scream....anything. I love you so much and you are such a special person. I know that I have told you that before but it needs to be said again and again and again. You are MY SALLY and I love you. Prayers sent straight to God on a daily basis.

The scripture that I think of when thinking of you is:

Jeremiah 29:11 - 13 "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me witgh all your heart."

That scripture was my Mom's favorite when she was going through her troubles and it helped so much. Have a great day and I will be back. Know I love you. XOXOXOXO

  9. Sally and Jim,

I am so glad that Kathy set this up for you. What a joy to celebrate friendship and family ties and to know the love that each extends to you both. Prayers are going out for you from all across the country and it seems the world.. on a daily basis. Our belief in a loving and caring God drives our faith in miracles and in healing. Beyond that, is the hope for peace, for a calm presence within and around you, and relief from pain and discomfort. You are held in God's palm and my prayer is for that strength and peace to flow through you today and every day. I hope the sun is shining there and that you can feel the warmth of those rays on your face. Open the curtains and see the wonder of spring, hold a hand and feel the warmth of touch, listen to the sounds of your heart and the words sent from friends and family. Know that God is present with you and will stand with you as you fight to conquer this illness. Hugs and more hugs... With love, Mimi

My dear forever friend, I have spoken to our Father in Heaven in the name of our precious Savior and Lord. After His Resurrection Jesus walked and talked with his disciples and tried to comfort them when they pleaded with Him not to leave them. He told them that He MUST go to the Father. The urgency of His words touch my heart every time He Brings them to me as I pray or think on the WONDER of His Love. He had been away from The Father for 33 years and the longing for His Heavenly HOME was so intense. I so often think of my mother, my dad, and my aunt and uncle who made their home my home for Love alone. I do somewhat understand.

The Beauty of the Biblical passage and the treasure it holds for those of us who call Him Lord and Savior are these precious words: Fear not, for I will not leave you comfortless! I have prayed to our Father for You . . . And whatsoever you ask Him in My Name, He will do. Ask that your joy may be full.

I have prayed for our beautiful and precious Sally. I have asked our Father for length of days . . . and Joy unspeakable and full of Glory in the complete healing of her body. What a Miracle message Sally can give to the World. Let each of us hold fast to His Precious Promises.

    With Love, Donna R. Farmer

  11. Sally,
I am so sorry you are having such a heard time. I do pray for you every day and know that God will take care of you .I found this poem and hope it offers some comfort.

    My Prayer for You

Today I lifted up your name
    Before the Lord in prayer.
I asked Him to supply your needs,
And keep you in His care.

I pled with Him to make you well,
    And take away your pain;
    To chase away your sorrows,
    as The sunshine chases rain.

Because I know He holds you in
    The hollow of His hand,
I prayed that you would know His peace,
And have the strength to stand.

    If you should be discouraged,
and Feel moored in deep despair,
Please know I dearly love you,
    and Remember you in prayer.

  14. Sally, These are the four selected scriptures which Aunt Florence
    has selected for you.

#1.Jeremiah 33.3--Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know..

#2.James 5.14/15--Is anyone among you suffering? Let her call for the Elders of the church and let them pray over her anointing her with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise her up and if she has committed sins she will be forgiven...

#3Psalm 55.22--Cast thy burden upon the Lord and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved...Repeat:Peter 5.7--Casting all your care upon him for he cares for you...

#4Psalm 50.15--Call upon me in the day of trouble I will deliver you and you shall glorify me...

Aunt Florence's Prayer: Father, may Sally's deliverance be complete!
Answer to her request for deliverance:Epistle I of John 3.8b--for this purpose the son of god was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.

  15. Dear Sally,
Having read the numerous post to this blog it is obvious that all your life you have walked Luke 6-38. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Your love for others is returning "running over".
Know that you are in our prayers and always have been and will continue to be in our hearts. I picture your genuine and warm smile and though apart, to this moment, feel that bright and cheerful spirit you have always freely given to those you meet, whether family, friend or stranger.
God Bless You and Peace Be With You.
    Love,
    Bob
